This was sold as a Christmas colorway, but as it has not sparkle, I think it is quite neutra.
This is obviously not a DK weight as given in the pattern, and I will only use the arch supporting ribbing from the pattern and also do not plan to wear them as hiking socks.

I am also planning to place the gusset decreases directly below the heel and might include a “counting ribbing” in the leg and foot.

Ok, first tried to integrate a “counting pattern” with a combination of p2, k1, p2, but the yarn totally ate that. So I moved it to the back of the leg and will not repeat it for the second sock.

Plain stockinette after 15 rows of ribbing for cuff it is now!

Did 15 rows of k1 p1 ribbing after finishing the gusset decreases. I am now at 10.5 cm after heel turn, so 5 cm more to knit before starting the toe.

Finished 1st sock -I think I will keep them.

Started 2nd sock, only half way through the leg ribbing.

Finished - not sure… For myself, I would definitely go for just 56 instead of 60 stitches, could be tighter around the foot and so far, I cannot see a real advantage in the ribbing - will have to wear them for testing purposes.
