Oergs - this is not for me… Though I quite like the little boat pattern, I do not seem to be able to get it right. You are supposed to knit the first purl stitch together with the slipped stitch in the wrong side rows, right?
In addition, I HATE having to cast on so many stitches. I used a crochet cast on but still - not a fan.
And last, but not least, I did not have enough left from the orange yarn part, so I added white, but the contrast is not high enough…
Will finish this, but the yarn-pattern-color combination cannot be recommended.

Took in-wear photos and no - I think this pattern is not suitable for a stockinette scarflette! Maybe thisis also because of my thin yarn, but I would not recommend doing it as written - it curls like crazy, and not just at the cast-on.
I had a hard time to style it so that you can at least see some of the pattern - I think that is the reason why there are so many photos with people just holing it in their hands.
If I did it again, I would try to throw in some purl rows, or use it on a capelet/cowl/poncho thingie, which is knit in the round, like it is with the Heimathafen sweater pattern.
Might do that, because I really like the little boat pattern. But as a stockinette-based scarf, it is a failure for me.

The designer reacted and said that when using the recommended yarn, there is no curling, a 100% cotton yarn does not have enough elasticity - keep this in mind when casting on!
I would probably go for a project knitted in the round, using the little boat pattern next time.
