I wanted to knit these since more than 15 years ! A friend in my local knitting group knitted them a lot as gifts, always using Opal Hundertwasser in “Der Blaue Mond”.
Up to now, I always postponed them as I am not the world’s most enthusiastic cable knitter, but I hope they will be worth it.
Just finished a pair of socks in the yellow tweed yarn and really like how they turned out.

Frogged my beginning - lost track where I was in the chart.
Printed the chart out now, ordered a cable needle and will start again.

Second try: Casted on 60 stitches with 2,5 mm needle this time, printed out the chart, marked left and rightleaning cables with different colors. Let’s hope it goes better now!

Finished right hand mitt. Did 15 plain rounds after thumb separation, thumb rounds as given in pattern.
I only did one major mistake in round 22, so I am confident the left mitten will be better.
Started the gusset increases in round 14.

Finished! Yes, the second one was way better to handle than the first, though directly after finishing, the fabric looks still a little uneven, but I hope that blocking will do the trick.
Have to admit that I am quite proud I finally knitted those and finished them! Now I might even add a matching headband…
