Kind of messed up the start as I did not stick to the description in the pattern and just somehow increased 8 stitches every other round - which leads to a more oval bottom. In addition, it took me 7 rounds to find out that I was supposed to change to much larger needles for the lace part - but I think it will be fiend.
The lace round takes me forever… nevertheless I like that this bag will be much lighter than a crocheted one.
Did not weigh the leftovers I had, but would assume this will be app. 2 full skeins. Will probably finish this up with the leftovers from my Bali bamboo yarn for the handle. Might be a nice project for leftovers from plant based, not-so-stretchy yarns.
