Okay, I HAD to try this hexagon-bag-stuff… Inspired - once again - by Phazelias Schlampermäpple, I started my own version for my nephew’s first day at school. I used the Catania Fine I had in my stash and I hope this will not turn out too girly- he likes blue, though… The “non-girly” is also the reason why I am not using the african Flower hexagon this time. However, if too girly, I will just keep it - weil ich ein Mähähähäädchen bin… sing
The middle part reminds me of atztekische Sonnen (sorry for the bad Denglish, just too lazy to look it up), hence the name.
However, I would probably use a thicker yarn next time, the Catania is very fine and I would also use a bigger hook as I like a lacier look - but for a bag, the tighter the better.
Finished Finally sewed in the zipper - my first zipper-sew-in-experience, worked out alright. Like it!

Totally messed up the assembly - should have taken a closer look at the assembly charts- however, so my version has a little point at the bottom, who cares.. However, I think it is too girly for the intended recipient, so I will keep it ;-)

Will still have to sew in the zipper (scarry!!!!)
