Yeah! Already during knitting Nonna No. 1 I was desperate to cast this on with a warmer yarn, as the shawl collar CRIES to be knitted with something warm and snuggly.
So immediately after washing No. 1 and letting it dry, I casted on for No. 2. Though my gauge is slightly different with this one (24 instead of 25 stitches), I will stick to the numbers so far and casted on 70 stitches again.
I should probably have knitted one of the loop cast ons through the back loop as it now left a visible line, but I nevertheless like it in total.
Totally love this somewhat variegated - semi-solid colourway!

About to finish my first 50 g ball about 2 rows into the 6th pattern repeat.

Seperated sleeves in row 9 of the 6th pattern repeat.
Will again do the version with reduced Zipfel (what is English for Zipfel? Tips?)

Finished 2nd 50 g ball in the first knit row of the 10th repeat. Noticed that I forgot the second back decreases in the past 3 pattern repeats, so I did 6 decreases (3 on each side) in the 1st knit row of the 11th pattern repeat.

Knitted until 1st purl ridge of 11th pattern repeat
October 13, 2019
Finished body after 15 purl ridges. Did 2 sets of 10 short rows in the back, one after the first purl row of the 13th repeat and one after the 1st purl row of the 14th repeat.
Started the cuff ribbing in the 1st knit row of the 15th repeat and casted of with a single crochet cast off after the 15th repeat.
Picked up 87 stitches for the sleeves and will do decreases every 10th row

Finished the first sleeve - did 11 decreases every 10 rows and then added 20 rows without decreases after the 11th decrease. Did 9 rows of k1, p1 for the cuff.

Finished knitting, yeah! Just when I washed the cardi and wanted to put it on my trusted garden table to dry, it started drizzeling again…
So I arranged a slightly unusual “blocking” setting, using christmas market mugs to block ;-)
Knitted 15 purl ridges in total and included 2x 10 short rows in the back.

Tried it on - I have used 290 g of the yarn and I think it would not have hurt to add that 16th purl ridge I did with the first Nonna.
Nevertheless, I quite like it - it is really nice and snuggly and warm, especially the shawl collar around my neck.
The sleeves are a bit on the tight side, but I think they will stretch enough in wear.
