Notes

My first test knit! I am not sure how exactly I will distribute the colours, I might end up adding further “punkter” further down the body - we will see…

December 22, 2019

Switched to doing the punkter in white for the 8th punkter row, will go back to white as background for the next punkter rows.

Calculated that I will probably have to do 12 punkter rows before separating for the sleeves.

December 23, 2019

Seperated sleeves from the body at 72 stitches for arms after 12 Punkter rows.

December 31, 2019

Reached a total length of 46 cm today.

January 1, 2020

Finished body at app. 56 cm at shortest part of the front. Did short rows for the middle 10 stitches, as given in the pattern. Did 1 row in the white yarn before binding off with single crochet.

Picked up 90 stitches for the sleeves.

January 4, 2020

Finished first sleeve after 10 decreases, did additional 5 decreases to get to 64 stitches. Then did 6 rows of k2, p2 in white before switching to pink for another 4 rows. Bound of “normally”, just passing stitches over.

So off we got to sleeve no. 2, hope to finish this be Monday at the latest.

Listened to this audiobook » which I can highly recommend!

Okay, after washing, the neckline is a bit on the wide side, so I will crochet a row of slipped stitches on the inside with a small hook to tighten it up.

In addietion, the handpainted yarn bleed a bit into the white on the sleeve, but does not bother me too much, might try to fix it by washing it again with colour catching wipes.

ETA: I did a row of slipped stitches from the back in white as I do not have anything left from the light pink yarn. I was using a 2.5 mm crochet hook and it fits way better now (see detailed photos).

So casting on 144 stitches was way too much, next time I should go for around 120 stitches or so.
