Doing a little phone cozy knit in the round as a gauge swatch until my yarn arrives. I plan to use fingering instead of sport, so I just used sockyarn leftovers.
I think I like the looser gauge with 4 mm needles better (is the repeat on the top, barely visible, but the fabric is less dense which is good for a sweater, I think.

Yarn arrived, yeah! Seems to be quite plump so maybe I should round up my swatch gauge accordingly - we will see.
Swatch gauge is 26 stitches to 10 cm, so more or less exactly as given in pattern.
Cast on just 110 stitches, increased to 120 stitches in the first plain row after ribbing.

Did the short rows with just one colour - I do not care if the pattern starts a little later on the back, do not want to fiddle with stranded knitting here.
Watched this Youtube Video for the jogles stripes » as recommended in this helpfull project »
Only started the second colour after the first increase round.

Instead of cutting the yarn, I just changed contrast and main colour when the pattern tells you to - so my blips will be worked in the purple-pink yarn now, background is the rainbow coloured gradient.

Plan to increase more stitches to get inbetween size 2 and 3, so I will need to increase 76 instead of 60 stitches for the 4th increase.
Here is what this calculator » came up with
K2, (M1, k3) 22 times, (M1, k4) 31 times, (M1, k3) 22 times, M1, k2
Should bring me to 336 instead of 320 stitches after the increase

Separated sleeves from the body, shortly after that, I had a knot in the bright rainbow ball so I changed that to the more muted one. And app. 1 cm after the separation, I changed the second colour from pink-purple to blue-grey.

Total body length: app. 42 cm

sighs Well, this sure is sloooow progress… It still is at only app 46 cm total length, so I will need at least another set of small and big blibs each… I am not really motivated and have to furce myselve to work on it at least a bit each day… I quite like the result, though

FINALLY! Decided that 50 cm is long enough and started the ribbing for the body.
September 10, 2022
Finished the ribbing at 51 cm total length, I wonder if it will grow when washed. Tried it on, fit is ok, more on the tighter side, but still ok. Would not mind if it got a little wider, though. Now to the sleeves sighs
I like tight necklines, but this one seems to be very much on the tight side - we will see…
September 17, 2022
Picked up 85 stitches for the sleeve, will knit down straight an decrease to 64 stitches right before the ribbing. Will do a total of 7 sets of small and big blips.

Finished first sleeve
September 22, 2022
Finished knitting, now just weaving in ends! I loved how it did not have to measure sleeves, just repeat the pattern exactly the same in both sleeves.

Hm… it felt like it grew a bit in the washing, but we will see after it has dried - luckily, it is bright and sunny this afternoon!
Made a savory tarte-like pastry, using yeast dough and our own zucchini, tomatoes and some leftover spring onions - first time I tried this recipe >>, wonder what it will taste like - looks good, I would say…

So, took in-wear photos. Did not grow, at least not significantly. Fit is on the tighter side, but not too tight. I would make the sleeves a bit longer next time, I think.
Did not weigh the leftovers, but I used most of the dark red gradient, app. 15-20 g left there, then the blue, then the rainbow coloured and only about half a skein of the bright rainbow.
