Part of my Sock-Resolutions: Give ToeUp Socks a try again. There was a KAL in the German Regia Group for this pattern which I find helpful, so I went for it. Let’s see if I manage to do the short rows without holes…

Update Jan. 15th: Done with the first sock -hmm… Did wrap and turn for the short rows which went fine, but I have holes were the feel flap ends and the leg starts grmpfl Did the gusset increases in purl and the heel flap with slipped stitches. Did the bind of from the wrong side like in Ingrids Toe up pattern, but it still flares a little to the outside. However, though the heel looks a little bulky, it fits quite well - might come to like these anyway…

Finished! Did get rid of the holes when coming from heel to leg with fiddling around with stitches below. The increases on one side tend to be a little too loose, maybe because my purl stitches are a lot looser than my knit stitches. However, finally quite like the outcome. Also the heel fits quite well. I think I will stick to this pattern with further toe-up-experiments, but I will - at least I think now- not convert to toe-up totally!
