So happy that I got the yarn when staying with my parents for the weekend - wonderfull shop that Jacobi in Rosenstrasse is! What a pity I cannot shop there more often. Decided to use Nettischaf’s “Flussbett Spiralschal” pattern, available in her blog Ariadnes Anleitungen - still have to find out how to add the pattern. Ariadne used Schoppel Zauberball.
Update: Crocheted nearly all of it on our way to and back from a weekend in Hinterstein in the Allgäu Mountains. Our first hiking tour took us to the Schrecksee mountain lake, which has exactly the same colours as the yarn - and the path was nearly as “spiraly” as this scarf…
Finished! I ended up with 12 rows in total and a litte yarn leftover (you can see it in the photo where you can also see the hook). I really like how the pattern looks, and it even looks good when wound round the neck. I am not totally sure about the yarn - the black thread is very thin and seems to be the acrylic part of it, and I messed up the foundation row where it “vertüdelt” (no idea about the English word…). However, quite like the outcome and as I am not too sensitive with “scratchy” sock yarn, I think I will not have a problem wearing it directly to the skin, while some others might have. The colours are very nice, though. I just washed it and it lost quite some colour, so be careful when first washing.
