I am only using the pattern as a rough spring off point. I plan to knit this on the bias, create a rectangle of sorts and then sew it in half when it is big enough. Hope I will be able to construct this, we will see.

Wow, that was a great fail to start with… I started with only increasing on one side which would have left me with a slanting edge. Frogged the whole thing and will start using the pattern for the rectangular shawl by the same designer to create my rectangle. Found out that the yarn is not very good to frog…

Blended in the second colour with 5 two row (1 ridge) stripes and plan to knit on with the greyish blue yarn when it is used up.
I started the straight section of my rectangle when the sides of my triangle were around 56 cm wide (did not measure, but just used 2 DinA4 magazines as a guideline (those are 297 cm on the longer side) as I was to lazy to go upstairs to look for my tapemeasure

Made good progress on this! I hope I will finish the rectangle by the end of next week (I will not have a lot of knitting time this weekend). I still have a bit left of the blue yarn and will probably not use all of the cream yarn for the rectangle, so I can use the rest for the ribbing all around.

Finished rectangle, still have app. 20 g of cream and 20 g of blue left for the ribbing.

Picked up stitches for the ribbing

Finished ball of cream yarn, will now knit until I run out of the blue for the ribbing.
