Ok, after I frogged the first attempt with this yarn, I still believe that a crocheted shawl would be a good choice.

This will need serious blocking, but looks quite promising.

I used an improvised picot edging (a chain-5-picot every 6 stitches) and as my row gauge was off, I repeated row 8 and 4 (so the one started with a half shell and the one with the sc start)twice for every repeat.

Used the whole sock yarn skein and only have about 10 m left. I already pinned the shawl on the blocking blanket and it looks quite promising size-wise.

Photos on the terracotta tiles are pre-blocking (and pre tails weaving…)
