After seeing the great sockyarn scrap shawls in the German Restend group and after my mum said “Well, you know what? You could knit me another of those knitted shawls, but make it REALLY BIG this time”, I decided to make her one for christmas. There seem to be enough sockyarn leftovers in my stash, I assume I will stick to the brownish-redish type.

Oh, and the project name is inspired by mainecoonmum who said that knitting the leftovers brought back memories of when she first knit with the yarn - very true and I like the Kaleidoskop idea, especially as it is for my mum…

Yeah, and I already build in the mistake… the eylets are one stitch to far on one side in the third increase line - well, I will probably make some embroidery around it so that I can say it ist intended - or maybe sew on a crocheted flower? We’ll see…

Finished - and it is huge! More than 2 m wingspread (as I blocked it on my bed which is 2 m long and it was not long enough) - love it , hope my mum will like it as well!
