Knitted in the round with steeks front, armholes and neck. I have also knitted two sleeves at the same time with 2 steeks. At the armhole BO same amount of sts as armhole front/back, and CO again for new steek for shaping top of sleeve.
Steeking the lace merino/ kidsilk went nicely, but to make even more secure I used the technique I had just learned in my Fairisle Club 7, using a felting mat and needle. So, rest assured ;-)
I did like the original colour combination by Martin Storey, but those would not go well with my wardrobe. So I made my own colour combo ;-)
This cardigan may look lovely in grey tones too I can imagine.

Steeking in mohair !
Je legt je project met de averechte kant op een speciale mat (zie foto steeking mat) terwijl je langs de goede kant de steekrand doorprikt met een speciale 6-naalden tool. Daarna voorzichtig je breiwerk van de mat halen. Deze manier op zich is niet voldoende om een steek te maken vind ik persoonlijk, maar eerder een versteviging van een reeds vooraf gehaakte “steek”. In een project in bv merino is dit niet nodig, maar in een losgebreide mohairdraad vond ik het wel ideaal.
