These are socks I did in January ‘10. I used the same pattern ‘Basic Socks’ by Cindy Guggemos, but for the first few inches of ribbing, I knitted a 2x1 rib & alternated a pearl row every third round. I saw this ribbing in the Vogue knitting book. There’s a photo of the page here. It’s a little less stretchy. The socks fit fine.

I didn’t document this project too much photographically, as is my wont.

As you can see, I tried to make the heels a different color. It did not work exactly as intended. ;)
