9 May These socks were started on circulars over a year ago. This was when I was still fighting with the terrible instructions from the ’2-At-A-Time Socks’ book. Although I will NEVER do that 2-At-A-Time method (it’s terrible) I still have these two orange ribbed cuffs. I just never frogged them. So, today I transferred one of the socks to my 4” DPNs. I frogged the heel flap on the one sock that had a non-reinforced heel flap. I’m going to finish these socks. I’m ready to knit the heel flaps today. Yah!!

15 May Finished one heel flap. This took longer because I decided to lengthen the gaps between the heel flaps and the cuffs to 2”. They were originally ½“ wide. This hopefully will result in the cuffs stopping right ABOVE my ankles.

11 June Had to buy more yarn to continue project after finishing both heel flaps. Turned both heels last night.

12 June Finished one heel. Wrapped ball of yarn on my knitting stick for the second heel. I like winding the yarn. It’s a nice experience. Finished second heel.

13 June Finished one instep.

15 June Finished second instep, finished one toe.

18 June Finished!
