second pair of Northman mitts. love this pattern.

Went with a two-strand braided cast on and stranded braid edge instead of solid just for something different on this pair.

This probably goes without saying, but maybe it will help a newer knitting: when doing the two-color edging you don’t need to leave the 5 yard tail that the pattern calls for.

For xmas 2013 for my brother. Yes I’m getting an early start this year! woo!

10/21/13 - Yipes! So these hibernated for a pretty long time. Finally started the second mitt and hopefully I’ll get these done in time to gift to my brother.

10/24/13 - Have finished the left mitt except for the thumb, and started the lining on the right mitt. I love love love the Andean Treasure yarn for the lining, it’s so soft.

11/16/13 - Have renamed this project to shame myself into finishing them before Christmas. A true testament to procrastination, a pair of mitts that took a year. Sigh! There’s really no excuse because this pattern knits up SO QUICK and is really fun. I just need to freaking finish them!

11/20/13 - working on the second lining! hope to be finished in a day or so, so that i can get these in the mail!
