My first Ranunculus and now I get it!

Body knit in 5mm needles as preferred the fabric I got but I may try 6mm as stated in pattern for my next, just to see.

Wide neck option.

Omitted short rows at front.

Followed pattern up to the raglan increases. I did the raglan increases in the more traditional way (increase, plain knit round) because I wanted to make sure I had enough length before splitting for sleeves as I’m on smaller needles.

Worked out gauge and because I’m on a smaller needle will need to knit to a size three. My gauge is about 4sts per inch. I’m managing row gauge possibly.

I knit to 10” before splitting for sleeves (measured from cast on edge and down shoulder). Added a lifeline in and knit one round and then split for sleeves.

The cast on specified in the pattern to add stitches to the underarm creates a much more secure fabric than the usual backward loop cast on. I like this.

Knit 3 rounds for sleeves before ribbing.

Final weight 262g
