Because of the silk yarn I added an extra yarnover before every first stitch of the row and every WS row I added an extra yarnover after knitting the first three stitches. Thank you for all the knitters who added notes concerning the edge ease and Devilslab for the garter tab start.

Do love the yarn, the pattern and the end result. But since finishing the shawl I have not worn it so I frogged it to use the yarn for a different project. .
