The slippers turned out PERFECT and are so adorable! I absolutely love this pattern and think I could make a ton of these for gifts, commissions, etc.

BUYER BEWARE WARNING #1: Unfortunately, the sizing according to the package is not accurate. I should have had my “youth size 11” child hold the slipper sole up to her feet before I crocheted the slipper socks, because even though the box says it fits a “youth size 13”, I would estimate it to be closer to a “youth size 9”. Live and learn.

I’ll find another little girl to whom I can give the slipper socks, and I’ll go back to Michael’s to see if I can find a Boye Starting Points kit with a better sized sole for my daughter.

BUYER BEWARE WARNING #2: The kit originally came with the wrong pattern inside-- it was the pattern for the baby/toddler slippers! I went back to the store and checked other boxes, and all the Youth Size boxes had the incorrect pattern. I contacted the designer (found her name on the pattern) through her blog and told her my tale of woe…. That incredibly nice and talented woman sent me the correct pattern!!! I’m so grateful.
