This was my 2nd hat of the same design that I crocheted. It was a request from my sister after seeing the 1st one that I made. She specified the choice of colors. I added the black trimming at the brim to tie the 2 colors together.

This time, I used a smaller size hook to achieve a better fit. Fortunately, my sister’s head dimension was the same as mine.

Because I used a smaller size hook, I added a few more rows of single crochet at the crown to achieve the needed length of 17cm (same as the pattern and our head size too). I also decreased the number of loops to hold the hat band down to 6 from 8.

This hat turned out very satisfactory for me. I hope my sister will like it as well.
