I followed the original pattern and made a cap-sleeve lace top in medium size. As I started working one for my sister in size small, she requested hers to have long sleeves. So, I did. I added the long sleeves.

I crocheted the body and sleeves in the round to lessen the work for seaming pieces together.

I worked the sleeves from top at the shoulder down to the hem. With this lace pattern, it was easier for me to decrease vs increasing stitches.

Also, to define the neckline, I crocheted the last 4 rows in sc at the neckline instead of continuing on with the lace pattern.

I added the edgings/trimmings at the body and sleeves. The trimming was a combination of 3 rows of the Linen stitch (aka: Moss stitch) and 2 rows of the Small Shell pattern #222, pg. 158, from The Complete Book of Crochet Border Designs by Linda P. Schapper.
