Notes

Although, this pattern was created for hand knitters, this pullover was machine knitted on my Brother KH-965i (standard knitting machine).

This hand knit pattern was designed by Japanese designer, Hitomi Shida. The pattern came from the book Couture Knit 3 and it was pattern #10. 2nd image from the top was scanned from this book.

I used her design but adapted to my body measurements.

Chenille yarn was used in conjunction with sewing cone thread (used in overlock serger machines) to minimize worming. With this yarn, tension 6 was used for this pullover.

Chenille yarn is a stretchy thread yarn in itself. If I understood it correctly, worming can also be formed when the yarn thread is stretched out after knitwear is used. Knitting this yarn with sewing thread or a non-stretchy thread should reduce this unpleasant effect. At least, that’s what I’m hoping for. Only time can tell (during wear & care) since no worming was formed during machine knitting.

I used short-row to knit the triangle hem & neckline.

For the neckline, I used the figure-8 graft technique for closing the folded neckline. It gave that stretch that I needed for the neckline to go through my not-so-small head :)
