This was a hand knitting pattern but knitted on a standard gauge knitting machine.

Because of the different knitting techniques and the type of yarn used, the stole was not knitted to the exact pattern given on this book. However, the 2 main lace stitches from this pattern were used as they appeared.

The stitch charts were slightly modified to apply for machine knitting. The stole was outlined on the Brother Knit Leader and the laces were knitted using hand-manipulation technique.

The Leaves lace stitch pattern at both ends were gradually increased in sizes as it was knitted toward the edge. A very lose tension of 9 had to be set allowing the fabric to have enough stretch in order to accomodate all the stich increases in a row.

The trimmings were done by hand crochet and they were not followed from the main pattern. China crystal beads were also added to the crocheted edge.
