Tension 9 was used on the standard gauge knitting machine.
The hem and collar lace patterns were taken from part of Foldi Knit’s Butterfly Lace Shawl lace pattern.
The lace pattern was hand manipulated on the knitting machine.
There were quite a few mistakes in knitting this cardigan. That’s what happen when one takes a long break from machine knitting.
The body outline was copy over to the Knit Leader (KL) from the Brother Home Knitting 1 pattern set. I’m a small size but I used the lady’s medium size this time. I wanted plenty of room to be comfortable in it. However, somehow, somewhere down the making of it, the cardigan ended up wider than the outline made on the KL. The swatch seemed to be correct so, was the stitch scale. The length turned out alright. The error could have been in how I blocked it. Well, it was made to wear at home so, any mishaps wouldn’t matter to me. They’re definitely lessons learned.
I don’t think I shaped the collar as it should be. It turned out acceptable but not as well as it should be.
The white lace pattern image came from Hitomi Shida’s lace pattern collection which has the same butterfly portion of the pattern as of Foldi Knit.
