This was another hand knit pattern converted to machine knitting.

How Curly Sam was created:
Machine knitted on Standard Gauge
Majority of yarns: Hobby Lobby’s “I love This Yarn”, #3 Sport in various colors.
Tension used: 10.1
Curly Sam’s hair yarn: Loops & Threads Charisma, Yellow. The double strands were separated in 2 to reveal the curl.

Note: On the original pattern, the hair was created in a strip, similar to the hays, and attached to the hat instead of the head. I didn’t want Sam to be bald so, I gave him a full head of hair. The curl hair just happened when I separated the yarn strand which turned out to be a sweet surprise.

There was supposed to be 3 little creatures that reside on Sam, a mouse, a bird and a ladybug. I may do 1, 2 or all depending whether machine knitting is adaptable or not. Work is still in progress for these.
