I found that the Lion Brand Baby Soft yarn is a bit thinner in weight than I like it to be. In order to make a substantial thickness for a blanket, I used double strands of the yarn for this baby blanket.

As for the elephants, I used Caron One Pound yarns which is a little thicker (medium/4 weight); I used single strand. This yarn is also a bit more stiffer which is needed for its ears to hold up.
