I am really surprised that not more people have done this hat, I think its awesome. It will give warmth across the forehead as one needs in sub zero (F) temperatures.
The band shaping is wonderful and comes out to fit exactly like a headband, the flaps cover the ears. Very nice design :)
A fun knit!! I haven’t steamed or washed this yet, hopefully will get a good picture with the model in it.

Yarn leftovers went into the missoula hat and matching toddler mittens
