Jessie was going to make herself a shawl for her wedding, but decided to not stress about it and focus on other things. And since I was knitting myself a shawl, I offered to make one for her. She’s giving me free reign over it, so long as its white. But she doesn’t want to know anything about it other than that.

4/11/10: Just finished casting off! I want to block it now, but I should probably wait until after work. Sadness. Now to figure out the other 2 shawls and get those going!
I was afraid I was going to run out of yarn for a while (I’m a terrible judge at how much I have left and how much a row takes) but I knew I was being paranoid for no reason. I have 17 grams left!
3/23/10: I got the yarn in the mail yesterday and its GORGEOUS! I loves it. I posted a picture of it, but I probably won’t post another until its been gifted. Unless its one that you really can’t make out what it is.
I cast on for it last night and so far so good. I hope it turns out!
3/16/10: I talked to Jessie about the shawl on the 13th. I picked one out that day and set about finding some yarn. I found the perfect yarn (I hope) today and ordered it, along with some new needles. Then I found out the place I ordered the yarn from was actually back stocked and it would take 3-4 weeks for it to get here. Since I only have 2 months to make the shawl and I would like more than a month to work on it, I sent off an order to another store and I’ll just resell the first skein or something. Hopefully it will get paid for and shipped tomorrow. I’m anxious to work on it!
