11/26/09: Mittens finished. Will block this weekend and weave ends in after that.
11/15/09 Part 2: Chart A and 7 of the 17 ribbing rows knit. Woo! Time to crash now. 11 hour day tomorrow!
11/15/09: I started the left mitten yesterday at work (9 hour shift with only one 30 min break. Yay!). I would like to get these done by the end of the month, but since I’m scheduled to work almost 123 hours in the next two weeks, that might not happen.
11/14/09: Right mitten finished. Guess I was able to get them done this week like I had wanted. The thumb feels a bit short, but hopefully I’ll be able to block them out a bit.
11/13/09: Right mitten finished minus the thumb. it fits me this time so going up a needle size did the trick. Debating whether to pick up the stitches for the thumb tonight or wait until tomorrow.
10/21/09: Chart A and ribbing done. (17 rows)
10/18/09: Restarted with size 1 needles.
9/23/09: Frogged the first mitten, which was finished except for the thumb. I decided it was too tight, even though my mom’s hands are smaller. I checked my gauge and no wonder it was tight. I was getting 11 sts and 12 rows an inch instead of the 9/11 in the pattern. Will finish a sock and then get back to them.
Only my second color work. I hope I don’t mess them up.
(Knit 16 rows in K2P2, knit 2 plain. Start chart)
Love the project, not liking the pattern. I might just be dense, but some parts aren’t going that well.
