Notes

link textThis is yardage for a skirt and test of an ancient method of weaving twill using singles wool - spun in one direction in the warp and the opposite direction in the weft.
In this project, the S spun yarn is in the warp and the Z spun yarn in the weft. The white warp is from a Shetland cross fleece found at a fiber festival, long staple, soft, spun up a bit on the hairy side. The dk brown warp and weft are both from a CVM/BorderLeicester cross fleece purchased at Wisconsin Sheep & Wool, some spun s and some spun z.
At the end of the warp, about a foot of fabric was woven with all yarns S spun for comparison.

Pattern will be a simple a-line skirt - NewLook 6079.
