Knit entirely on 60cm circs. 80cm’s might be more convenient for the last strip, but I dislike magic looping with so much extra cable during the cuff and toe sections.
(One could work this on two circs, or swap out the cord after the cuff and before the toe if you’re using interchangeables)

Oops, was slightly distracted by the roof blowing off the car (doing 200 km/h on the German Auto Bahn) just before starting the strips, I ended up completely forgetting to do them my own width.

I cast on 66 stitches intstead of 72, and worked the rest of the pattern as written up by the author. Needless to say I didn’t count until I had 17 cuff stitches left where I expected 23 :)

I solved this by making a very narrow strip in the middle front of the foot (I simply refused to frog it at this stage, my very first sock ever is too close to completion, and it’s still symetrical :)
