Aaaand drumroll finished, yay smiley
I’m totally smitten with this pattern heavy_heart_exclamation_mark_ornament
It’s a great stashbuster/use up leftovers, as well as mindless/tv knit. Also it’s fun to play with colors, which keeps the knitting very enjoyable.
So… there might be more of this smile

Clue 9 done (37 grams)
I’m tempted to go on, because it seems so obvious what the directions in the last clue will say. Buuut - you never know if there will be a big surprise by the designer smile. So i’ll wait 2 more days.

Cast on

A mash-up of our usual 1- to 2-month KALs + a MKAL thinking_face smiley

Planning info
Yardage
Approximately 1575 yards of fingering-weight yarn. I used my stash of merino singles leftovers. I’m using 11 different colors, but you can repeat colors or stripe 2 colors for any section.
5 x 75 yards
5 x 225 yards
75 yards of a contrasting or coordinating color

Gauge
20 stitches in 4 inches of unblocked garter stitch
(I used Us4/3.5 mm needles)

Color planning
Just make sure all of your colors look good as a group. You can decide on what color to use next as you knit and see the pattern develop. My suggestion - pull a couple of extra colors for each yardage amount (except the contrasting/coordinating color which is used throughout). As you start a new color, see which one looks best with what you’ve knit so far.

So dive into those stashes of leftovers and start playing! I’m hoping this KAL will help us all de-stress!
