1/31/21: Almost 6 years later…this bag was pretty much done. I just had to sew in the lining that was pinned in place and attach the straps. Instead, it’s been sitting on a shelf in my closet for a couple of years. I was staring at it in my closet thinking about how much I love the colors and color design, but that there was no point in finishing a bag now when I can’t go anywhere anyway. THEN, a lightbulb went off and I realized the shape (more narrow at the bottom, flaring to a wider top) would work perfectly as a chair cover for a chair that the cats have used as a scratching post. Voila! It’s now in a place where I can enjoy and admire it every day.

Sometimes the written description for the pattern conflicts with the graph of the pattern. I had trouble deciphering the hexagon pattern, so found a youtube video that helped me understand it.
