Starting with right sleeve in case this yarn doesn’t work out.

Decided that I want to replace the central body panel with something else. I have always wanted to knit the sheepfold border that is in Barbara Walker’s Second Treasury and is attributed to Elizabeth Zimmermann, but Walker converted it from in-the-round to flat knitting and it is uncharted. Need it in the round. Want it charted.
So I just spent way too much time on Stitchfiddle making a chart for in the round. The middle section between the sheepfolds will be an aran braid.
I am super excited that I did this and also that computers exist.

Clearer explanation of sleeve top shaping from DROPS site Q&A, edited to apply to size small
cast off 6 sts in the mid under the sleeve. Cast off 2 sts at the beg of the next 8 rows and then 1 st at the beg of the next 20 rows (10 from the RS and 10 from the WS)= 60 cm and 48 sts on row. Work the pattern for 14 more cm. Cast off 24 sts on the next row from the RS (as you work and cast off the sts work 7 k2tog evenly over these 24 sts before casting them off). On the next 2 rows from the RS cast off 3 sts at the beg of the row. Work 3 rows with pattern and no decreases. Cast off 1 st at the beg of the row and now work the pattern until the piece measures approx. 81cm. Now cast off all stitches and decrease 4 sts evenly over the pattern sts.
and
cast off 24 sts 1 time, then finish the row as before, turn, work next row, turn, cast off the first 3 sts, finish the row as before, turn and work next row; work the last 2 rows one more time = you have cast off 24 sts 1 time and 3 sts 2 times (= 30 sts in total, so that 48 - 30 =18 sts remain). Work 2 rows without casting off, then cast off 1 st at the beg of next row = 17 sts remain.
I was confused about the 14 sts k2tog during the 24 st bind-off. But the video on DROPS was good and said
When you work cables you add more sts than if you would be working in stockinette. The cables are pulling the piece together. When you bind off above a cable it is a good idea to decrease the cable sts at the same time as you bind off. Otherwise the bind off edge will make for example the neck or shoulders wider than supposed to be.

I think I have changed my mind re center panel. Now am thinking of the nautical twisted-rope cable from BW’s Second Treasury. I charted this one for in the round but need to look at the written instructions in book for rows 7 and 17, because it’s a complicated cable cross. Page 181.
