Ended up knitting most of it by mid April, then took fright at the idea of the steek! I finally summoned up the courage to cut the steek in early June, then finished off the sleeves, and button and neck bands in time to wear it for the first time on 18th June.
My tension was too loose on the colour work compared to the rest of the cardigan, but some extreme blocking has mostly fixed that. I don’t know what I did wrong at the side of the button bands that form the bottom edge, but they looked wrong with alternating green and blue along the bottom edge compared to the rest of the bottom edge of the cardigan, which is a blue cast off edge. So in the end I crocheted a chain in blue and whip stitched it to the edge and that looks much better. I am so happy with this cardigan, the yarn is beautiful and it feels like a bit of a triumph having translated it from the Norwegian and managed to knit it up!
