Make a granny square: ch 6 and join to make circle; on round one, alternate groups of 3 dc, with 3ch; with result of 4 clusters of 3dc each. For all rounds put clusters of 3 dc in ch 3 spaces of previous round & vice versa ch 3 above dc clusters in previous rounds. At corners there are 2 dc clusters separated by 3 ch at corner turn. Keep up rounds until end out of yarn; finishing off at corner. With a coordinating cotton colour crochet a border by doing a dc in each stitch of last round and dc over each chain stitch, keeping same pattern at corners. Fasten off and work in ends. Two baby blankets were made; the green-yellow-blue with blue jean edge; the raspberry-pink-blue-white with purple trim.
