For XS, I separated for the sleeves one repeat before the pattern stated for size small and it worked really well! It required I adjust the sides to avoid ruffling which I did until the hip points where I added the one arch I had lost to the size adjustment BACK into the pattern to create a little bit more flounce and ruffle into the garment. (You can see this in the little “tear drop” shaped spaces at each hip point)

The sleeves feature two arches instead of 3 and though are very snug and tight fitting (which is what I wanted this go around), had I gone up a hook size or two for the sleeves, it could easily be worn over a long sleeve tee as a spring jacket.

Though I did not add a hood, I did add ONE repeat of the virus stitching around the collar area for a more finished look when it is turned down. I added two snaps in the bust for closure and a satin ribbon for delicacy.
