To create a more fitted tee, I followed the first half of the pattern (size s) using a J hook & #4 cotton yarn (to fit size xs).

Instead of a one-piece v-neck (as with the smaller hook and yarn this does not work), I made two “back” pieces, sewing them at the top and up the sides, creating the tee shirt as opposed to a flowy pullover/coverup. :)
