Woo Hoo! The Lithuanian T-shaped heel in this pattern fits my high instep!

I have been hesitant for years to register for Sock Madness because I was fearful my high instep would result in socks that did not fit. I mentioned my concern in the SM20 Early Chat thread. I received great advice to try going up a needle size for the heel because mods were not allowed, unless specified in the pattern. I know I might not be so lucky with a SM20 pattern that contains a short row heel, but I am registered and looking to the qualifying round.

Before I knew this heel would work for me, I planned to only knit a heel sample so that I would not waste yarn and time if the heel did not fit. I used US 1.5 needles for the heel and US 1 needles for the rest of the sample.
