I diverged quite a bit from the original pattern, as I’m guessing was intended. Instead of a bunch of “Stella” hex motifs I used all the various hex motifs in the book and linked them together until I had an interesting form of wrap.

Very fun project for learning the join-as-you-go technique; I now feel more ready to tackle the pickier designs later in the (wonderful) book.

I call it the “Bat” wrap because when I laid it out to take photos it reminded me of the Batman symbol. :-)
