I used nine skeins because I used a new skein for each sleeve, which probably wouldn’t have been necessary. I could’ve knitted it with just eight skeins though.

This dress has a looong history. I got the yarn for my birthday and I was super excited to cast it on. I finished most of the body within two weeks (lots of time to knit in class!) but then lost my knitting project bag. Thankfully, a very nice stranger found it and tied it to a street lamp where I found it three days later. One of the needles was broken and most of the stitches were off the needles. My knitting mojo was kinda gone.
Eventually it was too heavy and bulky to drag to campus every day so it just sat on my printer for a couple weeks and was only touched on the occasional knitting club meetings.

I’m really glad I finished it and I’m very happy with the result. I love the loose fit and the length is perfect. The pockets aren’t super flattering but I like them nonetheless!

Please excuse the not-so-perfect pictures… I was being judged by both my cat and my neighbor who watched my every move as I awkwardly took the pictures with a tripod.
