Lucian picked out this yarn color himself, and he was quite adamant about it, I might add! The picture makes it look a bit pinkish but it’s more of a rust/fox red in person.

Learning two new skills with this project:
-provisional cast on
-integrated I-cord trim

Did rows 1 and 2 on body 22 times instead of 15 to make it a bit longer. This created more stitches width wise, (113 instead of 98) too so I split the vest as follows:

Right front - 34sts
Left front - 34sts
Back - 45sts

Did a 3 needle bind off instead of an I-cord one for the top seams.

The vest is very cute and I love it’s simplicity. My only complaint is that the I-cord trim isn’t very stretchy so I can’t block the vest to fit the way I would like :(
