Did sleeve and neckline ribbing before finishing body.

Knitting body to 8” from underarms before ribbing. I’ve seen a few projects mention they ran out of yarn and my yardage is really close to my gauge is bang on but I don’t want to chance it. Also I want this a bit more cropped as I plan on wearing it with dresses and high waisted pants or skirts.
