Notes

My yarn combination was a little light on a size #3 needle but didn’t have a 2.5.

Shoes - I used the winding provisional cast on to get started and it worked great.

I knit the dungarees in the round after finishing the legs.

I would fill my next bear more, filling out the belly a little more and narrowing the shoulders a bit to get the arms to lay at the side more. I will also consider make the arms movable by attaching them with a long thread between the two but not attaching them to the bear by slip stitch as I have done with sewn bears.
I like that the bear stands but wonder if I would like it better if it could sit - in that case I would close the tops of the legs before attaching them.

The pattern says not to block the bear pieces but I did block along the way on individual areas to smooth the stitches with a puff of steam. I then spritzed the final bear with a bunch of water to get the mohair to bloom.

I wouldn’t say this pattern is difficult but it would be a challenge for an inexperienced knitter. The instructions are absolutely wonderful. It just takes a bit of patience to get it all just right, especially the face.
