I made this dishcloth for my sister but I didn’t know how to crochet with thread. So, instead I used a worsted weight cotton yarn and an appropriately sized hook. It came out much larger (~4 square inches) but it was much easier to make and she really enjoyed it.

The one thing that I didn’t enjoy about the pattern was the border. The instructions say to work 41 (and 45) sc stitches “evenly spaced across end of rows”. I don’t think I did it wrong but I had more stitches along the side of the piece and had to finagle it to make sure I skipped stitches evenly.

FYI, this was my first “real” crochet project. I think it turned out great, though! :)
