My sister and my mom went to the craft store one day without me. When they came home, my sister came up to me and asked me if I could make a scarf for her out this yarn (she held up a skein of Bernat Softee Chunky in a mixture of blue/brown/tan). I’d never successfully knitted a scarf before, but I told her that I’d give it a try.

I had about a month to do it before X-mas so I worked on it every, single day until then. By the time I was done, I was really sick of that yarn. The unintentional zig-zag stripes that showed up were kinda weird but she liked it. I think I did a great job. I didn’t drop any stitches and I basically came up with the pattern myself- it’s just a basic rectangle.

I cast on 32 stitches and knit 590 rows (until it was 6ft long) and then I cut some yarn and put tassels on the ends. She loves it but she doesn’t use it often because it doesn’t get very cold where she lives.
