My friend asked me to make her a bookmark. So, I used the knitting pattern in the kit I got for X-mas one year. The first one was a little small, in my opinion, so I made a larger one the size of a traditional paper bookmark.

I also had some leftover yarn from the sock yarn doily I made her, so I made 2 bookmarks out of that yarn (I used #2 needles for those) for a total of 4 bookmarks. She loved them all. :)

Pictures: The first picture is of all 4 bookmarks together in use. I wasn’t actually reading 4 Harry Potter books at once- it was just for pictures. The second picture is of the original small bookmark. The third picture is of the larger bookmark. The fourth picture is of the first sock-yarn bookmark. And the fifth picture is of the second sock-yarn bookmark. The other pictures are comparison photos and close-ups of the sock-yarn bookmarks.
