Wow! What a pattern! So interesting to knit, loved every stitch.
A Viking inspired shawl simply had to be knitted in natural Shetland wool! Using 4 strands of twisty grabby single spun cobweb probably wasn’t my brightest idea ever, but, it let me create a gradient effect using nothing but natural coloured wool and I’m thrilled with the result (I do hope I never feel the need to put myself through that trauma again though).

Planning on creating my own gradient using multiple strands.

First part:
CC = 3 strands of Fawn and 1 strand of White
MC = 4 strands of Moorit

Chart F, row 11: worked strand of Grey and 3 Moorit. Went back to 4 strands of Moorit for next 2 MC rows

Reached Chart I, row 7 and I’ve run out of Fawn - everything now on hold whilst I wait for another ball to arrive.
