I substituted a shell pattern around the sleeve edges for the single crochet recommended in the original pattern. Otherwise, I sewed everything together before I did the edging around the main opening.
This takes a lot more yarn than my other versions, in which I substituted simple sleeves of 10 rows of double crochet in the round with a shell edging, in place of continuing the lace right across the sleeves and just sewing the bottom together.
